Where can i get construction paper?
|
|
i am looking to use construction paper as a bedding for my snakes. newspaper is working, but the ink is everywhere. i need the lowest price possible, and i need the sheets pre-cut to 12"x20" and have no "rub-off" colors.
maybe a butcher's paper would work.
anyone have input on this?

Have you tried an art supply store? They should have big rolls of it...although that doesn't help for pre-cut. You can get it in pads (for drawing) but I don't know how cost-effective that would be. At any rate, the employees of the art supply store should be able to tell you where you can find what you're looking for, if they don't have it.

Doesn't construction paper bleed? Try a local art supply store. You should be able to find newspaper stock by the roll. Also look into kraft paper. If you don't have a local art supply store, check out Uline: http://www.uline.com/cls_05/Cushioning-Foam.

i looked at that site. the paper i'd want works out to 4 cents par sheet after shipping. i'm tempted, but i'm gonna check some more local art places.
i like butcher paper by the roll, but i really got sick of cutting it. i wish i could have the Huntsville Times send me an unprinted Sunday paper every week.

Once upon a long time ago, I used to be able to get the Ann Arbor News to give me the end of the rolls of newsprint. Made great puppy paper. Contact your local paper and tell offer them more than the recycle guy will pay, might turn out to be worth it.
