Q: Chondro housing

I have 5 chondros 4 females and 1 male. The male is a lil over a year old and 3 of the females are around the same age and the youngest is a lil behind. I have the male caged by himself and 2 females caged together... is this good or should I change the caging arrangement...

I have all of my chondros caged separately... except for when they are breeding. Unless the animals are of the size/age to breed, then I leave them solo.. so nobody shares a cage unless it's breeding season.

If you are tight on space, the two females together *should* be okay, but I worry about feeding time, as well as after feeding time. There have been many neos who eat cagemates when housed together. I wouldn't risk anything by keeping them together, but that's just me.
