Q: Scrub python with swollen areas, movement problems, and off feed

my scrub python has two swollen areas, that go from her belly to her back.almost looks like broken ribs at first glance but its obviously spine related. her movement is similiar to that of a snake that has sungazers disease. she is starting to lose considerable weight. any idea what this could be?how to treat it?and any tricks to get her to eat again? she is a great snake who had a huge appetite.Any help would be awsome, she is about 10 feet long if that is any help.

A trip to the vet would be the best thing to fo for her. without pictures it's hard to tell but if she is losing alot of weight fast then you really need to get her to vet to be checked.

How long have you had the animal? Has it ever eaten?

Add the animal and some photos if you can, and if you have any tracking for it, that would be helpful. Sounds like you have some issues here, but more information would be helpful. Are the swollen areas new? Always there? Rescue animal?

Yeah what aaron said about the swollen areas and where are they located?

I agree that a trip to a good exotics vet would be the best for her. I hope she gets well soon!

Yeah I would definitely go to the vet right away.  Has it been in contact with any other snakes?  This sounds similiar to IBD, Inclusion Body Disease...
Might somehow be injuries too...

I would say your best bet is to go to a professional.  A vet who is well trained in exotics.  The sooner the better
