No - Gargoyles are highly territorial, you will most likely end up with an injured, dead, or eaten crested gecko. Even keeping multiple gargoyles together is tricky, they like to bite each others tails off and fight.

Agreed. Gargoyles are mean geckos. You can't even keep female gargs together without them fighting and eating the tails off of there cage mates. Plus gargs get much bigger than cresteds. A garg would quickly dominate and like said above hurt,kill or eat your crested.

In my opinion gargs have the worst attitude of any rhac which is probly why we don't have any crested garg hybrids.

I'm not saying its a good idea...but I wont lie. I keep my opposite sex geckos together. I keep my female gargs with my male cresteds and my female cresteds with my male gargs. Never had much of a problem, but I know people who have done it and lost tales. So I wouldnt advise it, but I'm not saying it doesnt happen without issues.....

I'm sure everyone has seen the crestie chewie cross but he has a pic of a crestuoa bred back to a crested which I don't aprove of. It's deluting an already small gene pool. Nor do I approve of crestie sara mixes the babies come out looking like crestless geckos which really don't look like anything special. I like hybrids as pets but not for breeding.

I am all for hybrids, but I also do not agree with breeding a hybrid back to a purebred - too much risk of polluting the pure population if the animal gets put on the market. Now, I don't mind if two hybrids are bred together - because ultimately they are still the same hybrid. I think the sara x crested cross could be cool because it could put some color on a sara-looking gecko. Just my opinion though.

I wouldn't recommend it, gargs tend to be very agressive, mainly the females. I have kept breeding pairs together without major problems, but the females will normaly eat the males tails. I don't think I've seen a adult male garg with a full tail in years unless he's never been bred. I doubt that the garg would kill a crestie of the same size, but you would most likely end up with a tailless crested gecko within a short time.

We just brought home a beautiful garg & was wondering if we could house it with our crested. Upon searching here bout this idea, came across this forum. Thank you guys for all this information. It helps a lot. We're not lookn to cross breed these two. Crested is for our 9 yr old daughter & the garg is for our 6yr old son. Now they both have the same amount of pets. There'll be no more issues... well, other than cleaning their cages... haha
