In Relation To:

Bella - Starfire
So, Starfire is a rescue from October 2nd.  She was a bit overweight and relly headshy when i got her.  Shes doing really well, but im curious about her markings.  Shes got  very erratic pattern  closest to her head, and a random yellow spot thats circular on her back.

(this has nothing to do with the question, its just cute)

This is just so you can see how bright the spot is

I just realized i didnt ask a question.  What do you think that mark is?  Same question with her patterns, because thats not normal.

That is normal? Ball Pythons come in all patterns and shades of color. I've taken in a few rescues that have a "wild" pattern, but it's still normal. It's the same how you can get a normal BP with a REALLY long head stripe that may be really dark or really bright. They vary so much, that everyone thinks their normal bp might have something special to it. But unless it's a morph, which you can google a list of them, it's still a normal. His/her babies might end up with similar patterning, or not.

Yeah I would say normal...in that case it might have been fluctuations in incubation temps or something to cause such erratic patterning but it might just be a different normal to.

uh....over weight? You really need to research this shit before you open your mouth. Ball pythons are short, fat, and they always will be....that doesn't appear to be overweight in the least bit. Just because you own a ball doesn't make it a mutation automatically.....god i hate ball pythons..

yes that was rude, you didn't give a single bit of advice in your comment masterfulpoopsie, sure you can be here to show off your reptiles, but keep your rude comments to yourself. i thought the same thing when i first saw a bp, now i know its normal.

Yeah that was really mean and absolutely pointless. Anyways :) Ball Pythons all have different patterns and colors  but I think the one you have just has really cool patterns and bright colors very pretty!!
