Q: Leo Changing Colors

I took my leo to a vet about a month ago and the vet said tht he squeezed some puss from a sore from its side of its mouth and said he should eat now well he ate then stopped AGAIN and now he has turned colors to a very dark color when he is usually very bright yellow help?

I recommend taking him back to the vet for a checkup. Most places don't charge for a follow up visit unless more procedures are required.

he vet squeezed pus from the leopard gecko's mouth? uh ha..

yeah i'm with leiren.... or what I suspect she is hinting to....

if all the vet did was squeeze some puss and then say your gecko is cured and let ya leave then you need to find a better vet.... someone who  actually specialized in reptiles...puss in the mouth usually needs medication of some sort...

your gecko may have a case of mouth rot. squeezing the puss out won't solve anything. if it is mouthrot you will need antibiotics. as for the color change, my geckos darken with cooler temps.

Squeezing out pus from anythings head that small doesn't set in right with me to me...somethings not right with the story,possibly that it isn't typed out very well or explained better.

pictures if anything would help..maybe honesty,I don't know.

Yeah I agree.  That sounds like mouth rot or something, which would explain being reluctant about eating.  I hope ya took him to a new vet.
