Comments:	I really have no idea what happened to Chuck. He passed away in what looked like mid crawl... he was laying still, as if he was just out for a leisurely stroll in his cage! No signs of distress, or illness. Just stopped crawling one day. I feel bad because I am pretty sure I saw him freshly dead two days prior, but thought that he was alive and crawling around. Suddenly a bad smell overtook the snakeroom and only then after pulling out tubs and searching all over the place did it dawn on me that it was chuck! He was far too gone for a necropsy.... RIP Chuck :(

WOW!!! IMO, vertebralis is one of the most stunningly beautiful NA snakes. Probably the 2nd most beautiful colubrid (after exceptional Texas Baird's rats). This one is an incredible example! Who produced him? -p-
